HI lads is this right i put a dump valve on my 3dr last week and all seams well but i was working on the car tonight and i had the motor running and sore the dump valve was open as you can see in the photo when i rev the motor it closes then re opens when you let it go back to tick over is this right as i think it should be closed

 

yeah its right...hence why you see many cossie's fitted with dump valve's that have a little filter around the vent.

unless you live in the desert, i dont see how the amount of vac a yb will give post throttle with a closed throttle will suck anything in

im not sure, but you will probably find air blowing OUT of it still when idling, as the turbos still spinning, albeit slowly...
