Default what paint for a engine???

could any one tell me what paint is best to use on painting a engine block??? i would like a gloss finish.

i found proper engine paint fades after a short while, so i tried hammerite seem to be realy good.

hamerite is good stuff and no no primer needed !! ooh unless ur block is really really rusty the u can put a lil bit of etch primer on !!

make sure its etch primer tho !!

i used calliper paint from halfords light blue,looks ok

I used black hammerite on mine, sold the engine 5 1/2 years later and just cleaned the dirt off the blck, came up brand new

Radiator paint from B&Q, available mixed to any shade you want.
