Default Answer needed? Flushing out sump <><><><>

I have re-tapped the alli sump while still on the car after the threads finally let go and want to flush it out via the turbo oil return, any idea whats the best thing to use that won't affect the oil when I refill it, was going to use the old oil but I want something a bit more faster flowing.

CHEEEERS!!

The old oil but heat it first gets my vote, diesel a good plan to as mentioned above.

Although of course taking the sump off would be better!

Cheers for the replies guy's, will do as chip suggested and use the old oil which is still quite clean only because the car hasn't moved for about a year since the last oil change

Not quite sure how I will warm the oil up though, probably use her saucepan's/microwave while she's at work

use diesel as i suggested as you dont need to mess about heating it up, will do a perfect job of rinsing it out

Will this have any effect on the new oil if some diesel remains in the sump?

as long a you let it drain out, all will be ok. If your worried about it, after rinsing the sump leave the sump plug out and pour in a splash of fresh oil and that will remove the tiny remainder of diesel, then obviously refit the plug
