Without know the circumstances its hard to comment, but personally I disagree potentially, lending someone money doesnt change the underlying fact they have none, it just puts it off for a while, sometimes that might be useful, but often it might actually just make things worse!

It's got nothing to do with your credit rating, you were not approved as you do not have 100% of your kneecaps remaining. Which makes debt recovery difficult.

perhaps you're a better mate to chip than others are to other people, but in my experience, friends think that they can take liberties because they're friends, and believe that your friendship gives you a right not to pay back etc.

Thats where this device called a "telephone" comes into play - generally if you pick it up and dial the number of your creditor, they are often pretty reasonable about stuff if you can provide a valid reason of why said funds arent so forth coming, but only if its a mate - loan sharks / banks etc dont take so kindly to none payment, but then why should Lee?

I paid the mortgage of a friend of mine for about 3 months because he was made redundant and had just lobbed out a load of money on some PRINCE/PRINS course or something.

I wouldn't do that with just anyone [he's a black belt plus that 1st Down, Dan whatever in Choi Kwan Do - so it's not as if I could get it back by force ] and obviously he paid me back pretty quickly!

Makes me laugh people mentioning Lee's good nature! I tried to help out with his request for Guitar Hero stuff and he just got annoyed at my inneptitude

there is however a difference in circumstance, now the money ive borrowed from you has always been to pay for a toy or something for the toy.

for instance if i need new tyres for a track day, but dont have the money this month.

i will have the money next month and the month after but not this one, now i know ppl say not to borrow money for things you dont need but imo thats a different circumstance its more like a wage advance.


the problem is and where the difference is i was never ever struggling for money (just getting it that month)

when you lend someone 30k they are broke, infact there more than broke that 30k is going to pay off alot of depts, if your in that situation the money aint coming in, thats why i think getting it back in 6 weeks is never going to happen. or is quite likey it aint 30k is alot to get payed and pay out when you have no money
