Good luck to you both, especially to Nicole as I know exactly what she is going through. I hope it isn't too long before you have your baby girl. Just keep thinking that it will be soon and every hour that passes is one less hour that you have to wait to see her.

Sending you lots of labour dust so hopefully she'll be here soon

Had to nip back to work to deal with something important, still no real improvements, looks like she will labour the full 48 hours at the is rate. Wish i could swop with her for the night. She didnt sleep a wink.

My wife had a long run too with the first baby, I know how you must feel. There's so little you can do to soften the pain for Nicole. But it will be all fine in the end Stu!

This is the badest part of having a baby...

Good Luck to the 3 of you!

Cheers, Wim

Only just made 4.5cm dilated after 48hrs of labour.

Thankfully, that means the pain relief can start this morning.

Have they not tried to induce labour or has this been tried and failed?
Its horrible being a spectator, you can never feel more useless and helpless.

Just keep the 'end' in sight. As soon as you both see the baby it'll instantly seem 100% worth the hassle.

that's a very end of the line procedure mate
if the baby is struggling they will try to force it out, forceps around the face below the ears is the normal thing, if that don't work they use a suction cup on the head to pull baby out
junior had 2 sets of forceps and the sucker on as his head was too big and amy should really have had a c-section

btu considering it's basicly gutting the lady in question and leaves horrible scaring behind and she can't move properly for at least 6 weeks afterwards, it's only for them skiny bints like posh who won't ever wear a bikini

Stu - did you remember to take your det cans with you as part of your hospital bag? I am sure you'd be getting a good idea of whats going on in there.
