Mk6 Escort Wishbone
Hello all.
Have a mate that had the wishbone changed on his Mk6 Std Escort six months ago, and now he is being told that he need to replace it again.
Does this sound right?
What could be causing it to be worn so fast.
That's all the info i have but it is parked outside so i can have a look.

Sounds typical of pattern parts and lowered cars.. The effect isn't so bad if you use genuine Ford arms, but eventually they will fail (<20k miles)..
Ian Howell already makes replacements...

as above, these are shit, had to replace mine every year for the MOT when i was running an escort, the ford ones are a bit better than motor factors stuff.

i used to change mine every 2 months with the front tyres
car was lowered with 17"s tho
i then made some arms up that move the ball joint in 10mm to reduce negative camber, and fitted deflex bushes.
they are also going to the tip this weekend unless anyone wants to collect them from swindon?
(been in the shed 3 years, but might be ok lol - balljoints can be replaced )
