Right guys.....need your help here - I'm moving into a new place the week after next & I'm trying to plan new couches & layouts etc.
2 scenerios......before I start here are 2 pics of the lounge area....
Walking in through the door.....
![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v126/Lee_R21Turbo/Bungalow/1.gif)
Looking back towards the door...
![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v126/Lee_R21Turbo/Bungalow/2.gif)
Now originally I was going to mount my telly on the longest green wall and have a 2 seater couch on the right as you walk in & also a two seater on the left as you walk in.......BUT
Since I've been down & taken some measurements etc.....I'm leaning towards having the plasma mounted on the wall on the right as you walk in (basically on the same wall as the phone is now) which then means I can have a two seater couch on the left (in front of the radiator) and have a bigger 3 seater on the back longest wall (against the green wall).
If it makes any odds heres a pic of slightly further down the lounge, you can see the kitchen doors etc
![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v126/Lee_R21Turbo/Bungalow/3.gif)
Couple of things to bear in mind - ignore the fire thats just propped up against the wall atm, its electric & could go anywhere - thats even if I decide to use it. Underneath the rug is a patch of floor where theres some carpet missing due to the old fireplace being removed. Not really a big issue as theres plenty of carpet left to patch this up should I need too.
What are peoples opinions here...
Plan 1 - mount plasma on green wall
Plan 2 - mount plasma on wall where phone is
Any help, advice, opinions much appreciated!!

Depends on the plasma
Size? Resolution?
Ive been doing my homework in this field, and even decided on 720p 50" Panasonic as my new one!
Thats at a viewing distance of 10ft if that helps.
What is your viewing distance, and what is the NATIVE resolution of the plasma and screen size?
People have a habit of saying "yeah mine is 1080p" and it can just display it

Green wall for me. You could hve a setee on the wall with phone which will be close to hand if it rings. Do you want to have to get up and walk to tv every time it rings. Lazy I know but hey you have to think of these things

Stu H - 42" Panasonic - nat res 1024x768 - not that I see that has anything to do with it as I'd either be sat with my back to the cream wall or the green wall with the viewing distances the same.
Metpol - that phone is getting binned - doesnt matter where the phone is as that would only be for a base station location - I have 3 handsets!!
Not sure if I made it clear but I'd be splitting the room into lounge area as you walk in & dining area near the patio doors so the if the plasma was on the green wall it would be nearer the end as you walk in.
JC....kiss my plums!!!

green wall, or if possible move the door to the other side of the wall its on and on the phone wall
cant have it infront of the door,,,, as then people will know your home AND what TV you have if they either see the house with the door open or peeked through the letter box
thought you scousers knew the rules ???

Ginge.....what planet are you on son???
If they peek through the letter box they'll have more chance of seeing the green wall & absolutely no chance in hell of seeing the phone wall unless they can look round corners!!
The front door is out the lounge door and take a left!!
LOL @ Dining area - prob gonna get a table & chairs nearest the patio doors!

not for much longer, need to get rid of the engine parts there im afraid
got new sofas comming,,,, corner unit is going on that wall and the other wall is gonna have a 2 seater flat against it,,, and the recessed parts are gonna have a table and chairs ( small fold away to be discrete thing) and the other side a 5 foot fishtank is going there
need to get rid of all this shite
and theres NO chance of finding cash anywhere in my house,,, as the little one steals ALL my change for her 4 money boxes,,,,, honestly she takes the coins out of my fucking pockets let alone in the cracks of the sofa !!!
shes collecting point coins in a money box the size of a pint glass and silver coins in "hello kitty" money box thats 1.5l in size,,,, we had to get bigger ones for her !!!
thats why im soo fucking poor im sure of it !

you moving far dude? so ong as theres always a place on your floor for me ![Big Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)
have you already got the sofas or are you to buy? if you havent got them what about a corner sofa in front of rad and then along green wall? tv on wall on right in the door.
Hiding a radiator with a sofa can be a pain for heat in winter etc and i had similar problem in my kitchen and also my old house. So at my old place i got a corner sofa that had no arm rests so only covers half the height of the radiator

Chop - no mate - only a mile down the road - new place is MUCH bigger, garage, conservatory etc!! They'll always be room should you wish to visit dude!
Actually just purchased a couple of cream leather sofas off fleabay! LOL! Not sure whether to have the 2 seater on the radiator wall or the opposite side effectively splitting the room!!
