Lee, like I said. We know where there is a brand new TT T38 sitting doing nothing in the boot of a Focus.

I loved my T34 .63
Everyone advised a .48, and whilst that was a good conversion on the road, you're always in the power band on track, so it'll be fine.
Was absolutely 100% reliable, was plenty punchy enough, and ran enough boost without any issues to make it thoroughly enjoyable on track.

T34 .63 with a good map will have 2bar plus of boost by around 3850rpm and at that weight of vehicle i think its ideal. (Although your cutback may scrub that back to 4K+)
Its tried and tested on the YB and wont be shitting itself mid track day if you keep held boost to sensible levels.

Last time I will say it. You dont need know fancy stuff and testing different types! Its a Westy track car, not an F1 car!!!

What about a T38 like on Staffi's ?? Low'ish torque compared to the other T38's & might suit you better ??

I was asking as I run a similar type car that I mainly use for endurance rallying. I run a T38 now from turbo technics on a 400+ bhp YB
I have different ratios ranging from 3.23 3.73 4.11 on 16 x 45 x 245 rear tyres. I have found my choice of diff really effects the characteristics of the engine in respect of performance. I am currently setup on a 3.73 which is the best all round setup for roads and mountains. With the 4.11 it would hit the limiter in 5th to quickly but climb mountains like it was on the flat. I also run a Turbo smart two stage electric boost controller and quite aggressive ALS.
The cars off to do the GOME www.guildofmotorendurance.co.uk rally from Monaco to Roma in two weeks.

would a .48 suit it better?
i have a light car, not as light as yours but still applies,
without the weight the engine takes longer to build load.
i had a t38.63 and it was horrible on the road,
ive now gone to a t34.48 to reduce the lag and make it more user friendly/fun on the road.
if that doesnt work i can always upgrade to a .63 later on if i dont enjoy this.
take chips offer, try both back to back and see what you prefer,
cheapest, easiest option with the best result.
