Default anyone done a clutch in the new focus st?

and, if so, how much of a pain in the arse is it to undo the intermidiate shaft that sits behind the turbo?

i've got the engine out and up on a hoist, but i cna't see any way of removing the bracket wihtout removing the turbo

why have you got an FST engine out of interest? doi it for a mate?

The clutch in my Focus ST is on its last legs too.

Only just hit 40K miles

it's such a bastard of a job, i don't envy the price you'll have to pay

if it's an engine out job, be prepared to pay even more, out in the open it's a nightmare and has taken me 4 hours to get to this stage, in an engine bay, i'm not sure what to expect as everything is hidden by something else

It being done under waranty

The car was a press car and had been tracked as shown in Fast Ford a few years ago.

Due to this and also being the car still has a extended waranty, I persuaded them that it was probably abused during the 10000 miles before I had the car. !!!

That engine bay is a bit tight and I would prefer to do a 4x4 cossie clutch any day !!!
