Try cleaning out the rad, and get yourself a 1.3 CVH 82 degree thermostat.

Afraid the higher water temps are a side effect of the cooler working so well.

An alloy rad will help in this situation, if you can stretch to buy one.

I had a GRS on my old turbo, seemed to work ok, apart from 2 things - the mounting tabs snapped loads of times and the car overheated like a bitch as the cooler blocked the rad.

The NMS intercooler seems an awesome bit of kit, no idea how much it is though?

GRS seems to be very good. as long as you dont mount it like they tell you to!

how the hell the car is supposed to stay cool like that i dont know!!

Maybe 2 of them welded together NMS style? But on it's own?

You'd need a reverse crossover pipe too....

pretty sure the NMS ones are made from 2wd intercoolers and yes you will need the reverse cross over pipe

i had a grs front mount but i sat it rite in the bumper.slightly trimmed the bumper but didnt cut whole thing out.left standard fan on rad.it had nice big gap between intercooler and rad that way to allow air in.had no problems like that

Have had GRS and Radtec setups and if anything GRS ran a little hotter. Ran about 30-35 more hp with Radtec as well...But purely for IC would say GRS.

As said though given the choice i would have the NMS jobby, or push the boat out and go with RS500 spec and a removable front panel

When you fit an I/C and rad you must have them sandwiched together without a gap in the between them as you are relying on pressure differences to allow the air to move into the engine bay.

Like an injector firing into the inlet manifold, pressure has to be higher the rail side than chamber.

GRS is the best Intercooler, in terms of performance and fitment. I've tried others, but none have worked as well.

That said, I might be selling my GRS soon.

The NMS ones are now custom made as far as i know? They aren't 'just' two cossie ones welded together anymore.

They also seem to give good airflow to the rad.
