looks like a nice car mate but i would say its a write off.
If you want to repair it yourself after buying it back i have a pair of nearly new quarters.

Before you even consider repair, I would look @ the drivers rear chassis leg just in front of the wheel as it looks like it has crumpled there. If it has, it would be a lot of work for a professional bodyshop on a vehicle of that age, let alone anyone else.

If that is good, then a few new panels and a good quality repaint I think you'd be okay.

mate just had a similer thing with my s2! ask your insurers for cash in lieu! they will agree a fee for the value of the car and pay you out to repair it yourself! it dont go through the insurers system and so wont go on as a cat d if someone hpi's it

had a similar looking shunt in mine , but i was at donnington a couple of years ago & spun it .
i jigged mine & repaired it , then sold it for an escos .
i think if i was you i would get as much from the insurance as possible , buy the car back , break it to fund an escos like you said yourself .
bad luck though chap looks a real tasty saph . at least i only had my self to blame .

it'll get wrote off
then you will have to figure out what you are going to do with it

depending on the compnay they will either play ball with you or fuck you about and give you the run around

just make sure the car is on your driveway and no one takes it, because then the shit will reall start to get deep

just don't hand the keys over until you've either got the cheque banked or a letter stating that the car will be repaired regardless of teh cost

anything else they will screw you

Gutted for you mate. I was within a whisker of buying this car 3 years ago from Duncan.

Such a shame, but if you want an Escos and you get your agreed value it may be time to call it a day
