Do you think there was a problem with the Turbo fitment on my Westy?

Ive not really seen much happening with duratec turbo's yet.

Certainly a potential option im sure, just not common yet.

i reckon 250-300 bhp NA screamer would be ideal in that thing myself.

depends on the engine. i wouldn't have thought it'd be that bad on a 2.5. a guy i know has a 2.0 in his mk2 escort sprint car and he recons it's the nuts (replaced a really good NA cossie lump) with power from right down in the revs all the way up to 8400 rpm. hopefully will be getting a few passenger laps at brands soon so will be better placed to form a decent opinion then

Personally I couldn't see what the problem was

Stu seemed to find it hilarious and just could not stop playing with it!
Did not notice the lose turbo when blanking the leaking water feed, although it was rather warm so could not touch it.
Hope someone will sort the controller for the electric water pump and the oil leak at the back of the engine (crank seal ?)

Steve
Did you check if the car is fitted with a slipper ?

Thats because all the hoses and exhaust were holding it in place!

Lee, ive been doing some reading up on your T3 Turbo and turns out it was a special GRP A, WRC, F1, NASA, Dicksport Hybrid designed and supplied by ATM Motorsport.

It was designed to be "fully floating" on the exhaust manifold and only connected with a single broken stud to save weight.

WOW and how cool is that!
