apologies for the Ebay questions of late..

I keep hearing horor stries about Paypal.. When you have sold an item, Paypal alows you to transfer the funds into your account. How long should I wait until sending the item.. ? When its totally safe and they cannot stop the transaction or retrieve the funds please

I think its 60 days from the date of transaction although i bet if the scum still complained they would still get their money back!

once they paid with pay pal send the item money can only come out if they put a clame in if it dont turn up make sure you send it signed for westy

I was trading on Ebay untill i was scammed, and its still happening..

Customer buys through Paypal, recives item then a day before the 60 are up complains of unauthorised card use to paypal, paypal then take the money out of your account or bank account without notice and freeze it in there account, the customer gets a questionaire to fill in then after 2/3 weeks you get to fight your corner, even if you can prove via recorded delivery and prove it had gone to the customers address and the customer who had signed for it was the card holder you will still lose your money.
So the customer keeps the product and gets there money back and you as the seller get sweet FA...........

This scam only works if the customer has a unverified address and therefore your seller protection is void resulting in you giving them it all for free !!

Morale of Paypal as a seller is -
1. Make sure that the buyer is VERIFIED
2. Be very sure and dont use the useless wankers !!

Paypal cost me Ł999 and a Maver 301 pole, im still angry over this a year on.. grr

Had similar, posted an item , never turned up, buyer started a claim, i FAXED over a copy of the postal recipt (1st class NON recorded delivery) pay pal found in my favour, this has happened 5 times allways found it my fav, just keep the recipt of postage and ALLWAYS only send to the address listed on the paypal invoice !! or your not coverd, it says all this in the paypal rules ect, just take the time to read these and do it all propperly
