S1 dilema (2wd cossie)
I have my s1 in the garage with no intention of selling it untill i get the craving for another 2wd saph with decent power.
The s1 is proper mint (not a for sale post im a goldmember) i would just advertise it if it was.
The s1 needs nothing & is a joy to drive drives like new & i dont throw money at it.i dont drive it hard & think its only running about 6psi.Dont care how fast it is as its good to have.
But i still want a good 2wd saph thats quick but i know it will be a money pit.
Whats your views ? keep the mint s1 & enjoy it in the good days or have a quick 2wd saph that will prob be a bit of hastle but good fun?

hard one carlo
the s1 is basically an ornament sat in the garage untill the weather's good, but it is stunning and would love it in my garage
would you use the saph a lot more than the s1, would it be running high power

I prob would use it just about the same as the s1, because i got this house this year ect the s1 has done less than 150 miles this year (i think) i have only put petrol in it once & its never seen rain. But next year i will have more time to use it because i will be settled. The saph will be decent power as the s1 is worth a bit of cash i could afford to buy a decent spec saph..

really hard one mate
the s1 is stunning and as you said you will prob use it a lot more next year, but you wouldnt want to drive it hard and you'll want to keep it in mint condition,
whereas a nice spec saph would be more something you could take for a good run to kick it's arse.
so if it's something you want to take out for a right good blast then i would say the saph
but if you want a stunning car that so just want for the good weather without driving it hard i would say the s1 cos it really is mint

It's a hard one mate for sure, I love both my cars for what they are to be honest, and as you know I've got a Mint Series 1 and a pretty damn clean 2wd Saph!
Just dropped you a PM

loved your old saff mate and the series one is a cracker.it depends on what you really are in to.im in to my escorts so its an easy question for me but you might prefer your saphs so its just a matter of what you like best.for the money you will get for the series one a very good saph will be coming your way

Alot of mixed opinions here i will have to think hard about it as i always rush things then look back & go fuck thats what happens when ppl start asking you to sell it you start to think what you could have.

Carlo its a lot of money lying about to be scared of using it too much... i know its stunning but to be honest you might as well get enjoyment out of your "toy". How much enjoyment does it give you sitting there hidden in a garage or out driving it being scared to get it wet or drive too hard?

Thats the thing i would end up wanting the saph good as well.Ollie i know what your saying i dont drive the s1 hard because i want it to stay as good as it is & would hate to see it ruined..
The thing that started me off was that cooont gallacher on friday he had came to my work to see me with a boy he works with in tac's saph cossie just done grp A gasket , greens ect he drove away gave it a little load up (not booting it) i seen it squatting exhaust note changed as it came on to boost then the fluttered from the wastegate before the dump & thought i need another saph.

Reason 1 only 1 garage.I would never leave the s1 outside or the saph.
2 money for the saph i want i would need good cash.
3 insuring both cars ect along with a daily runner wont be easy the list goes on really.

Hmmm I understand where you are coming from.
I think you would kick yourself silly if you sold the S1 but on the other hand I think you would enjoy a well sorted saph. So if it is viable, have a little break from the S1, put it in storage untaxed and uninsured and have some fun with a saph and after a while when you really start to miss the S1, bring it out and use it again.
Like I said only if the above is viable and realistic enough.
How long you had the S1 though mate?
If it has been TOO long, time for a change IMO.
