I have a three door cossie that was bought as a crashed wreck, it has now been reshelled and rebuilt. When the previour owner crashed the car he cut the off side wing, front slam panel, chassis rails and strut top off to 'clean up the shell', problem is that the grinder was put through the loom just under the fuse box. We got a new loom and fitted it but nothing seems to work properly, there is nothing from the ABS, the lights have a mind of there own and the dash flashes more than a whore on a nudist beach. i have so many people say my mate knows a bit . . . . . etc and when they have a look they just say things like 'youve probably got an earth problem'
I KNOW ITS PROBABLY A FUCKIN EARTH PROBLEM BUT I DONT KNOW HOW TO FIX IT!!!!!
if anyone can help or knows someone that can help i would greatly appreciate the time and would pay for anyone to have a look etc, im in lowestoft near norwich if you know anywhere local
would it help if i said it was 80000 bhp and REYLAND/NMS/MSD/SCS/MAD built it??
if your insinuating that if you did you would get more responses i suggest you look above as some people have tried to help. you wont get a reply in 5 mins mate
why not go back through the loom make sure there are no breaks in it or bare wires etc.or check all the earths on the car as other people have stated? just an idea
we checked the loom when we first got it having had trouble with the previous one, as for checking earths im a complete electric dunce so i dont know what im checking for lol??

to be honest mate if your an electric dunce as you say..then dont attempt to fix it as you could make it worse.
Why not pay an auto electrician mobile one and he will prov find the problem straight away....
thats where ive got to dan, i know so little im willing to take it somewhere but i dont know where to take it?? i would happily trailer it down to reyland etc or where ever but if its just a case of me being a bell end and some one going 'youve put this in the wrong place' its a long way to go??
anyone know anyone local who aint just 'someones brother' (i do appreciate thats hard as this is east anglia and everones related) as the only thing people drive round here is tractors there doesnt seem to be a REYLAND/NMS/MSD/SCS/MAD etc??

see above...lol
i assume you checked all the fuses and relays?
it was a cossie loom???
have you got the abs plugs in the right ones???
jusat go over the loom and check there isn't a wire thats not connected
if it's and earth, "most" of them have a circular connector on the end so they can be screwed to the chassis

If your in east anglia why not take it to Scs at peterborough. harvey gibbs owns that so they should be clued up with cosworths. or maybe A1 rally sport. they are over that way too
