Just because its a cossie folk say oh gutted for you mate etc etc, bollocks to that and hope you get dealt with accordingly and lose your licence, one less dangerous knob on the road.
so you have never gone above the speed limit , oh he has an Escort Cosworth so he must of been going really fast

Regardless of speed if the other driver didn't stop when turning the crash might not of happened.

The main this is all people involved are alive and well etc, metal can be replaced people can't.

there was talk of speed, so i guess it was reomved to avoid incrimination. as the police look at websites u go on to gather evidence.

even though in the eyes of the law speed is no admission of guilt.

Anyway its only a lump of metal at the end of the day, main thing is no one was badly hurt!

30mph is 30 for a reason!

As much as I agree with you, she still pulled out on him. We have already come to the conclusion she wasn't paying attention, clearly. Pulling out without looking, I'd say is far more dangerous than speeding.

i hate hipocrites like you that make out your innocent that you have never gone past the speed limit yourself

im not taking sides just my opionion

Proper harsh that mate, if you had just spend a fortune getting the car right, then got it back the day before YOU'D put your foot down to see what it was like.
Yes it's a built up area, but as said it wasn't his fault, someone pulled out infront of him and he had no way to go.

End of the day we all speed, built up areas, b roads, motorways. WE SHOULDN'T BUT IT HAPPENDS, WE'VE ALL DONE IT!
Give the guy a break FFS

thats alot of strong words from someone who aint got a clue what happened, the cars hit inline with the chassis rail, check out the Ncao testing on cars of this impact,,,, as in hitting head on the outside 15% of the front of the car and various speeds and see the damage, he would have been better off hitting the car head on to absorb the impact,, but he tried to go round her on the inside, dave aint some 18 year old, hes done a few track days and ive been round the ring with him in a clio where he WORKED the car to get rid of understeer, hes a MUCH better driver with can control than most people

ALTERNATIVLY hes gonna be at national day, hes only a small lad too so feel free to pop over and air then views,,,, hes the relaxed, approchable one always smiling average looking bloke non itimidating person with the other erm,,, not so approchable scousers

ok im biased as i have met dave and speak to him alot but hes honestly one of the better people on here with a very very big heart, comments aint fair considering some can see how the accident happened and why the car looks like that

ps: dave guess the rumors of JC being a better driver are true

Dave did admit to speeding, He also said that the women pulled out in front of him! Aswell as admitting to the coppers he was speeding to.

pmsl @ Gary.

thanks everyone.
i think Rad has said everything really.

i have been completely honest about this situation i'm in and will take whatever comes from it but i did not cause it,i may have contributed to it,but i did not pull out from a side road onto a main road without looking and giving way properly....ask anyone in the know...police, solictors etc...they will tell you she was in the wrong.

Coco, you going to ND. i'll be there, come and say hi anytime.

I did eventually sell the bike through ebay but didnt make a loss, actually made Ł500 on it

Just before i got that was the first time in about 16 or 17 years my licence had been completely clean !!!! Been banned 3 times in total for various offences, totting up points for speeding the first time, getting chased and failing to stop, driving at a constant speed in excess of 120mph over a distance of 2.6 miles ( this was how they worded the charge !!! ) when i did stop i did a runner but got caught in the middle of a field ( had a few pints and was fairly sure would be well over the limit, failed the bag test but blood count came back under the limit !! wish i had known that at the time as would have slowed down and stopped straight away and prob only got a bollocking for speeding !! My insurance was 2 quid away from being exactly double what i was paying after that carry on !!

Sold all my bikes now and drive like an old man and hardly ever speed !! Am more into comfort and mpg's now rather than mph !!! Sure sign of getting old
