Default zetec steel rods?

do they make a standard length steel rod for the zetec with a 21mm small end to accept the vauxhall pistons? after chats with various people im now thinking i really need steel rods as the engine pulls well and progressivly so could allow it alot more power then use a boost controller

Who is they?

Any rod manufacturer will make whatever you want. If you mean do places like Burtons sell them off the shelf, then no (however Burtons isn't the best example as they can get Farndon to do specials like that)..

Early XE pistons are Paul.
But they give the wrong comp ratio for a Zetec Turbo, ideal for a ZVH though I beleive.

mahle is a company who make pistons, it dont mean cause there mahle there the best

what sort of power are you looking for ?

have you drove a car with that sort of power to know if you like it or not ?

try someones car and go from there IMO as you might not like it, on paper and actually driving a car is totally different so test it first as i know why i never bothered with a ERST

That's correct.. C20LET's are more suitable for 16v engines, XE for 8v.. Both the Mahle and AE pistons are fine for 95% of engines.

my car drives nothing like a cvh turbo though, power comes in from the cam then the boost instead of the rs where its all at once and stupid this comes in progressivly, and with a boost controller i dont see no reason why not to have the power

paul have you been out in a few erst's ?

car engines are set to how you spec them to, it wont change the way the car actually performs on the road, nor will a boost controller as thats to get rid of wastegate creep unless you talking a progressive one thts either speed related like my blitz or a speed and RPM related one like the apexi

the actual cat will still be a ERST shoving big power through it aint gonna make it any different to what it is

the cars perfect in most ways and reasonably specced too but theres a limit for cars when they get too much and the car becomes the other side
