Out of interest, how did you figure out where to put the plates to stop the bumper being lop-sided?

It's the only bit thats got me worried!

Well, there was enough of the original holes to line the new plates up, but only just, I guess I was lucky.

If you have access to a car which doesn't have the rust and has it's bumper off, I guess you could take measurements.

I was initially going to buy a cheapo wing from a local panel place and use that as a template, but I'm skint now!

Neil, to be honest, my original plan was to cut out the bit off a wing from a breakers, just couldn't find one that was in good enough condition, or, with the same hole size, some are smaller as I found out when I bought the plastic clips that go into the wing. The ones I got from ford were too small !

So I ended up making one up from sheet metal, although craig (moose130) re-did it with thicker metal and better than mine - don't think he was impressed by my handywork
