They were 2 neck braces.... what you would normally wear round the track...
as said earlier, Martin felt too 'well' and put them on as a procaution really after the accident just to potentially minimise anything that 'could' be happening.

it was either a leaking injector or the pressure reg/fuel rail pipe..
what hurt more was getting raped by highway insurance. got a 3dr now though so not all bad.

Some of you people must have someone watching over you... I have seen crashes that are nowhere near as bad yet the occupants didnt walk away from them.
I had a bad one on 1999 and had to be cut out of my series 2 after some twat reversed off his drive straight into my path... talk about slow motion right before impact.. can still see the twats reverse lights come on in my head

Not on the same scale of some of these, but this was on my 1st day working for my current employers....
Quite minor really, although one of our drivers did recently plough into the back of an artic, he was in a bad way after.

i remember that very clearly dave, me and a few others got a shower in your rear windscreen as we were stood just the other side of the fence, fookin glass everywhere lol
also you whale tail went straight up in the air, over the high fence, and landed about a foot away from the photographer that was stood directly behind the pit wall you hit
