hi all
just rebuilt my escos engine . had to source another block due to my one having a crack between 1 stud hole and water jacket . i thought i could be clever and get the block long studded to take stress away from crack - but there wasnt enough material to tap into at the base of the block (202 block)
my question is .... has the block got any value for any one or is it just a big paper weight ???

i bought it as a complete "good" engine with strong block ? a t4 , swedish inlet & ecu at christmas . thought the 202 block was a bit funny but was told it was all good . had high water temps and head gasket faliure symptoms and low oil pressure. took it out and stripped it in febuary to find the block cracked , shells knackered etc !
so i sourced a 200 block , long studded , rebore - you can imagine the rest !!!
a little annoyed , but hey ho you live & you learn
