im not yet, but it will not be T6 lets put it that way,
I can see the reason people will build full replicas of works cars as they are awsome and the package works, but it is still a 15 year old design, and if ford was to do it allagain with the escort cosworth you can be dam sure it would be nothing like what it was, so the way i see it, if you can modernise th eold school in to new school this can only be good !

its out of date, and im building a new car, so why spend new money on old electronic parts, the T6/2000/m is a great ecu, but there are now better for the same/similar money that will do more functions, and there is alot the T6 cannot do than i want.

ffd boxes were not 6 speed or 7 speed sequential from the factory only xtrac did the sequential boxes for the rally cars

Bara's conversion will do either cluster, 7 or 6 speed...

FFD actually did do a sequential for the Boreham cars before they went up to M-sport and subsequently X-Trac...

6 speed bara conversion

As Tim says the Xtrac is smaller....and ffd did an active front.....thats why it was easier to make the later cars with xtrac transmission RHD....with the FFD its a nightmare....although harveys solution does look tasty.....

I will stand corrected !!

The extra came is a silly front ratio as well thought iirc, like 3.44:1 so i was told by xtrac, the ratio changes was in the box.
