Default engine management light on focus st

lookin for advice for a mate for his focus st3,his engine management light is now comin on,he fitted an exhaust on it last week,could this bring on the engine management light,exhaust doesnt have a cat

any advice appreciated

Yes the eml light will come on after 100 miles without a cat they all do

Had the same prob with mine.Dont think there is a mil light eliminator out for them yet (there wasnt when i was looking for one)

is it bad to keep runnin the car like this or can he just ignore the light and keep driving it
car doesnt feel different drives the same

Car will be fine only thing is if it does develop a fault you wont know because the light is already on.obviously.There was a post some time ago about this & mark shead replied his car is the same & just to live with the light.I had mine in march surley someone has made a mil light eliminator for them now?

i read somewhere that pumaspeed do a gadget to eliminate this maybe?

if i had no cat, i would remove the post cat lambda sensor. that won't help with the light, but if it's not being used effectively you may as well remove it rather than use up it's useful life

Puma speed didnt have anything at the time.But i would be surprised if someone hasnt made one by now as its a common prob
