Hi,
I do between 100 and 200 e-mails a day on average and i NEVER ignore one as a lot of people on here alone will tell you. I can only presume that you have either used the wrong address or for some reason your mail is not reaching me. The best address for an enquiry such as that would be sales@evolutionchips.com which have you been using?

I asked all maner of questions about the evolution chips, and was told the EGR is not touched, which is a good thing, as if EGR is disconnected it would send your turbo speed through the roof!!

oh right thanks for that, i just thought it would be a bad thing having warm air going through the inlet, esp as that's the whole principle of turbo engines isn't it, cold air more power etc etc?

i asked another well known supercharger specialist who map them also and they said they do disconnect, jsust doing my research!! lol

Make sure you look into it VERY carefully mate. I did and decided not to bother at all in the end, but I'm a cautious person

Typical diesel engines can reach upto 80°C inlet manifold temps, and obviously everything in the maps is designed with this in mind, and a lot of it is all linked. Most places just advance the main timing a ° or two. This makes the burn better, which improves power/tq and economy.

Smoke limit fueling often must be lifted, you decide if this is a good thing or not

Disconnecting the egr does not cause any issues - if anything is better for performance etc http://www.allardmotorcompany.com/pa...cts.asp?cat=21

Bobby,

This simply depends on how much EGR is being used in the base calibration.

If not much then it will only effect things slighty. But believe me, it effects turbo speed and cylinder pressures in a big way

ok thanks, can i ask why there seems to be only one dealer to cover the whole of Newcastle upon tyne but there seems to be several dealers further south within spitting distance of each other ? just i am quite a large garage on a main road and business from passing traffic alone would generate more than advertising, just i did not know there was a dealer 8 miles from me.

You must be able to spit a hell of a long way mate.

We give all our OBD tuning Agents around 14 miles radius trading area and bar one case where two people have agreed to trade in closer proximity, we never break that rule. Newcastle hasnt had much interest from anyone who is a suitable candidate, and whilst you sound as though you are a great candidate, we will not break the 15 mile rule for any agent whom continues to tune on a regular basis. It may however well be worth a call contacting that Agent and seeing if you can strike up a trade deal with him though?

I would imagine he would tell me to get lost as in his eyes it would be taking business from him, would you not be willing to give him a call as i am confident he is not pushing the product in the same way i would, if all else fails i will have to find another supplier as i do want to offer remaps as part of my business and i would prefer to use yourselves if possible
thanks

Maybe the highlighted section below is the key?

Its 17.6 miles according to google maps mate.

So yes i am sure.
Sure or not, as far as i can see your wrong. Ive narrowed your "Several" back down to none other than the one i mentioned.

Even where maps show a discrepancy, we offer APPROX 14miles and we use google maps to decide. All the dealers are happy with that, even if you are not.
Plus, i fail to see what you are hoping to achieve by arguing with me?

I hate to be proved wrong? Erm, read what i said mate...

Around = approx? No?
You can read the post time too... so how have i been proven wrong?

Also, even if that is only 12 miles, its still only one instance you have found, not "Several" as i originally disputed. And I was correct to dispute it. You however, have been proven wrong with your quote of several.

Anyway, being serious now..
Since it seems to bother you for some reason, i will explain in more detail. I never break my agreement once the distance is agreed and we do the deal. IE; Had i given you an area, and we agreed 50 miles, then i wouldnt put another agent within 50 miles of you unless you stopped producing the sales and we personally discussed it first.

The mileage isnt set in stone, hence it is approximate. As a great example, what would be the point in me giving you only 14 miles in Northern Scotland? There are a few examples where agent have 20/ 40 / 50 miles due to geographical issues such as population density and competition. Anglesey is a good example.

Sorry we cant help you on this occasion and i am equally as sorry that i got into this silly discussion in the first place, but it was you who suggested you would do better than our exisitng dealer and wanted me to break my trading agreement with him. I was simply and innocently explaining that i will not do s when you suddenly semed intent on proving me to be a liar!

i have nothing more to say on this as i will be using another supplier.
Best of luck. Jim
All the best Jim.
