st170 silver top bottem end???????

gota st head to put on my car but i have been told that cause i have a slivertop bottom end the cambelt will fowle the water pump is this true? how do i get round this without usein elec pump?

speak to garage19 on here, hes done this i think.

iirc he did have to drill and tap a new hole for the cam belt tensioner to make it the same as the 'T' shape on the black top.

To be honest you're best to (dummy) build the engine up and look at the puzzle, then come up with a solution.
