Default Rolling road result - cosworth capri

Just thought I'd post my graph up, currently running 32 psi spike and 28 hold, chip from MSD, its running really sweet with no misfiring or holding back and boost hits really hard, fuelling is spot on as well so cant figure out why its such a low figure, not too bothered either way just thought you guys might fancy a look. It's running a T34 turbo with 0.48 housing and RS500 type alloy intercooler, 3" exhaust so nothing really restricting it. We did have to do quite a few runs to try and get it to grip, like I said it drives really well and is very fast so not worried, comments welcome though.

why is it only being rev'd to 5k?

take it to a Dyno Dynamics RR and i'd expect to see around 360bhp with that spec, maybe more.

I don't believe that figure at all providing all is ok with the car.

only revs to 5k? thats not right. and power seems to be low for that boost level.

sure they havent miscalibrated the speed vs rpm and it was actually revved to 7k and produces about 60bhp more?

That graph looks like it was done on an Amiga 600.

also, the curve doesn't look anything like i'd expect it to either, presuming that's a power curve and not just some random measurement lol....summat's defo not right there!!

The power is climbing rapidly at the cutoff point too.

I wouldn't worry, the graph is obviously pony.

i cant see the graph as im at work, but mine made all its power early, and started to tail off at 5k, due to the .48

this turbo and boost level do make for lots of traction issues, even i had issues getting grip and mines 4x4....the boost comes in with a real bang on the .48 at 32psi

Haha yeah I thought something similar, only took it down to get the fuelling checked over the power run was just included, I live out in the sticks a bit and thats the only rolling road nearby.

Graph does not look right at all.

Boost looks like it hits in hard at about 4800rpm and is still climbing hard when the run is stopped.

Im sure you have more power than what is shown

Steve.

Just looks like the operator lost his bottle just as it started to make some bigger power to me.

As i explained on the phone mate, even a knackered YB would make more power than that with 32 PSi and it would never make peak torque at 5000rpm on that housing if the turbo is in good condition and you suggest it is, as does your boost spike figure.

The whole thing is garbage, especially since you confirm in your opinion i recall you said it accellerates like a Yamaha R6 but with a real punch in the back?

I went to a rr day last weekend and then panicked when the car didn't make what I was expecting/hoped it would - have a look here

https://passionford.com/forum/general-car-related-discussion/251365-where-did-my-bhp-go-rolling-road-graph.html

However I'm gonna follow the advice given. It drives spot on and feels quick to me, so really the numbers are meaningless.
