Is there a way to know/calculate if an ALS throttle bypass is big enough?

Default Is there a way to know/calculate if an ALS throttle bypass is big enough?

As title really.

As much as I try, I cant get away from the thought of having ALS on my Chaser, as it was just awesome on my Cossie.

The only thing is it is on throttle bodies, 6 of them of course.

As standard there is a balance pipe that goes to all cyls post throttles, so possibly the makings of a decent bypass is already there, but how do I know if its big enough for good efect?

I know how big the port was on my Cossie for agressive ALS, and im sure the combined diameters of these ports is way more than that, but this is a bigger engine and bigger turbo, so I dunno.

Other option would be take the whole inlet off and modify it, or even easier go for a single throttle inlet, but thats a whole load more work.

Personally i would put the ALS on, and see how it goes. The you can open it out to suit, how much would another manifold cost to play with? Looking at my cossie throttle body (Ian's old one, set for wild als) I would say that it is no more than 10% of the volume of the main TB throat area.
