Carlo :

Boost controller is now connected up, and any minute the mapping on pump fuel is going to commence.

Mark's just doing some mapping on lower boost levels now

Over 420lbft of torque at 1.5 bar of boost at 5 grand

516bhp @ 7500 on low boost on pump

All going nicely so far.

Bit of ignition mapping done now

530bhp @ 6500rpm @ 1.5 bar

2.2 bar of boost and its making 556bhp @ 5600rpm
PUMP still

631 @ 6500 rpm @ 2.2 bar

2.6 bar of boost 547bhp / 571 lbft @ 5 grand!

595 lbft now at same boost after some more tweaks

And 14 degrees of ignition advance still at that on pump!

610lbft now @ 5000rpm

still 14 degrees of advance too

Just made 703 bhp, still on pump fuel nd thats at 6140 rpm

737bhp @ 7120 and thats still with 14 degrees min advance

742 @ 7350

560lbft @ 4630

630bhp/601lbft @ 5500rpm MIDRANGE ANIMAL!

pump map finished now, running a nice conservative 11.9 AFR, and he has kept the ignition safe, peak value was 745bhp, on that conservative map

For anyone that knows, how far from a standard road spec Saff is Rod's car ?

I mean internally and structurally ? Its obviously a unique engine, but is the interior all stripped out and carbon fibre goodies ?

745 bhp is obviously collosal, but I thought this was meant to make 8xx bhp? Still fair play I can't even imagine the acceleration with that much power

Final figure on 109 ron is 758bhp

Thats MEGA conservative on the ignition map and running slightly rich still.

We're going to swap the inlet manifold now for a different one Mark wants to try, but I dont think we're going to see any bigger figures, Mark just isnt interested in trying to push the numbers, more interested in just mapping it safe.

Shame cause I wanted to watch 800bhp lol, which it would SO obviously do but mark just isnt up for it as its now how he wants it to be in the car.

Maybe the new manifold will offer enough to see the 800 without having to dial more advance though, back in a bit!

Not running any nitrous, I was helping with changing the inlet, o-rings are a bit of a two man job when you are rushing and im quite used to making them up so was just giving mark a hand, but if you prefer though I can change it to "they" everytime I mention something in the future just so as not to offend you?

It's not a diesel one. It's not an MIS one. It's not an RS Turbo one.

That is what we know so far.
