That is what I started mine at in the first session and they went to 40psi and the car was all over the place - I then dropped another 6-7psi out of them and the second session was much improved.

I had a REALLY good session chasing the Reyland Sierra driven by the new owner's son - great fun and very evenly matched .

No, he ran out of time on the track, as he was closing me down by several seconds a lap, but it was red flagged just as he got to the point where he could see me up ahead .

Was wondering if that was the case if so it does not work, I did back to back high speed runs with and without the rear bumper on my old car as I was worried the lack of undercar fuel tank was causing the bumper to act as a parachute... Same top speed with and without.

harvy is no fool behind the wheel

as for tyre pressures on the r888 or the dunlop o2g's no more than 29 psi hot on the front (based on 1250kg car)

28psi on the rear hot , otherwise they will go off alot quicker with more tyre pressure and will wear tyre down rapidly

on cold 25 on the front 24 on the rear thats it

[QUOTE=Mike Rainbird;3473196]Jim,
That's a little harsh, as I asked Harvey what pressures he was running and he didn't know, so they would have had about 45psi if he started at 30 and didn't adjust them .

I dropped mine to equivalent to 20psi cold for my last session and it dramaically improved things (which is probably whu you couldn't overtake .[/QUOTE

i tried the tyre pressures at two different pressures and by letting them down made them worse remind me not to take your advice , as for overtaking mike i think you was the one struggling to get past the back markers

Well it certainly looked like it was flying from the outside, but what tyres are you comparing it to when you say you dont like the 888s?

do you mean compared to slicks or other road tyres?

What did you try them at and what did they end up being at the end?

I had no problems, on both sessions I started at the back and overtook plenty of things .

Yes you are right... Good job the Time Attack top boys are only running 800bhp+ though...

if they tried to run any proper BHP they could well be in trouble!
