Default clutch or gearbox troble t2wd cossy

right on my cossy 2wd was in 1st gear gave it a bit and now i cant get it into any gear with the engine runing i have to switch it off and start it into gear and it goes to drive once driving you can press the clutch and the car is still going what do people think i think its cltch

could just be the clutch cable or ratchet. very common problem on fords

try a new clutch cable; very common for them to stretch

Ratchet and pawl may have gave up. Only pennies to buy if it is the case.

the cable is fine so s the pedal box coz the arm on the gearbox moves full travel and ther is resistance on the pedal

the cable might have stretched that would cause that not getting any gears aswell as the clutch

Did you put some proper grease on the splines of the friction plate, if this sticks it will also cause it.

I had this in my car ages ago, out playing on a ind est near me ended up being the clutch plate stuck to the flywheel got it on video too

mine eats cables for breakfasst dinner and tea, so much so that i always keep a spare cable in the car lol

I don't get why people have so many prob with clutch cables and ratchets

In 10 years of owning Cosworths I've had the ratchet go once at ford fair replaced and didn't happen again and can't remember snapping a cable.

My Brothers car snapped a cable once in 8years and once replaced didn't do another

dont peolpe read the post i siad thers pedal presure and the clutch fork moves to its full trevel i think its gear box
