spot of general advice

I have a Mazda Bongo camper,4wd with an autobox

Excellent camper and been a good van but I have a gearbox fault and would like some general advice (sensible answers only please)

The auto box requires new solonoids as this is a common fault Iam led to believe.

Do I

A) Take to Bongo specalist bout 50 miles from me who said they will probably be able to fix it for £400 plus the VAT, but could be other problems and more money?

B) Buy a second hand 30,000 mile box of someone I know local to me for £400 inc removal and VAT and a good friend that works with gearboxs will fit for £75 inc VAT

C) Use a local autobox specalist 17 miles away who have worked on said vehicles and said they would have a look (price unknown)

or something else I havnt thought off?
