can any one help iv just rebilt my 3dr motor over the last 4-5 weeks and today we got it to start but it dose not run right i have to keep playing with the throtel to keep it running if you just hold it at about 2000 it will just cut out and stop if i keep dabing the pedal i can keep it running well turning over it will not tick over on its own the timing is right and it running 1-3-4-2 on the leads its had new leads cap arm thaze censer plugs the fule regulater is set right the way in becuse if you wind it out any it runs even weres any forts on this would be a big help sorry for the spelings

you gapped the phase,crank sensor correctly?

Prob still needing the hyd lifter pumped up,if you fitted new ones,or let the old ones drain,there for valves wount be opening 100%

as this car has been a rebild from the grawnd up this is wot i no . the car came with a T3 and grays and a 3 barr map censer .... at the mo it still has the T3 but we have put some blues in and it still has the map censer and i dont no wot the ECU is

ah there could be ya problem!if you put some different injectors in with the chip for greya still in it,it will run like a back of poo!!!are they the light or dark blue injectors??

there the dark blue,s and iv just had my in the book and the faze should be .4 to 1.mm not .2 lick i was told by my mate iv now done that its a lot beter but still not right im going to have a look at the crank pick up and see wot my mate has set that to

the gap for the phase is 0.2/0.3mm i would gap the crank sensor to 0.8mm! if u still running the chip for the greys the car will not run right with out the grey injectors!the dark blue ones you have fitted are standard injectors for a 4x4!just the same as the yellow ones fella!

thanks mate for your help and you was right about the phase 0.2/0.3 mm i was looking at the crank senseriv did it ti 0.75 last night . one of the fings i did find last night was when number 2 plug was put in it must of hit some thing as it was being put in to the head as there was no gat on it so i redid that and that as you can imagine it made a big difference its still not right by any meens but its running ..i have 3 ECU,s im told 2 are L1 and i bort RS500 one of EBAY but that one will only run the pump it wont give me a spark i only bort it so one day i hope to put the RS500 inlet manifould on the car im going to try the grays today and see wot they do . i no the car has got to go and be set up but but it nice to get it some were close to running first ...........ANY MORE HELP OF ANY ONE WOULD BE A BIG HELP
