Default MIG welders... advice

would this be ok for me?

just general welding on the car,

am i right in thinking this is a gas welder too??

the machine mart one will do you, although if you can stretch the budget a bit i would go for a higher power one. and yes, they use gas. get a boc account and get a large cylinder with flow regulator - those little bottles are crap.

i thought they both the same?, only gave both links as there is more info on the ebay one, but is a dam site cheap (granted the bidding hasn't ended)

gas bottles isn't and issue

spiky

dont forget the most you can use on normal electric is about (150)

anything higher you need phase 3

so a turbo welder 150< with gas will be ok ,dont forget to use gas co2/argon mix makes the welds nice and neat

as said just get a clarke one from machine mart, I got mine from there some 15 years ago (a 150TE) and it's still going strong today..

I've got a Clarke 160Turbo jobbie & I would imagine its perfect for what you'd need it to do.
