i go to teesside airport to watch some of the planes take off and land as a lot are based at teesside for the weekend and fly from teesside to sunderland to display. got talking to the euro fighter display pilot last year, he gave my kids some euro fighter stickers and pamphlets, and i had a chat with him about euro fighter, was a top bloke. its obviously not as exciting as watching them display, but you can move up sunderland, its a nightmare. the pilots usually do a low high speed pass when they get back to teesside as there is a good few who go to teesside every year to watch them take off and land. im going sunday with my camera

I went last year from North tyneside and parked up and got the free park and ride bus down. I really enjoyed it although after the euro fighter everything else looked shit slow! If I was to go again I'd take a camping chair or similar. Oh and the marines taking point on the beach from the ship at sea was cool.

I was behind a fence pal, about 30 ft away. Thats one of the reasons i go to teesside though mate, as i said above, you dont get to see them display, but its not like sunderland where you cant move, and you can get up close to the planes, pilots and ground crew
