Default Suns out, and I want a bike!

I'm getting a real itch for a bike again Need it to rain to put me off the idea, but I am seriously looking at a Ducati 996/8

But even though they look horrid, I can't belive how much the 999's have dropped, to the point where you can pick one up cheaper than a late 996/early 998!

What you recon, 996/8 or 999?

I have been out looking at bikes most of the day, it seems the Ducati's are the cossies of the bike world, and a Gixxer/R1 is like an evo ... I think I have a thing for twins, just love the sound of them , Aprilla makes more sense than a Ducati, but it's not a Ducati , which I always promised myself..

Ive always wanted a 1098 since they came out. I want one at some stage but at the moment i like to rev bikes hard and you cant beat a jap 4 cylinder for that.

I see a ducati as a fast 'relaxing' sports bike, whereas the jap bikes are a fast fun crazy lairey sports bike, so it depends what you want and how you like to ride. Out of the 996/998 and the 999, id go for a 996 or 998. Its just the ugly front end and lights that put me of the 999, what were they thinking!

I love my K6 Gixer 750, the perfect balance between power and control.
