The JP1s are simply sensational... MINDBLOWING. BUT.... the single seaters even better after a few sessions.
I'll show you my last time trace from June..... you won't BELIEVE how fast I can get one around
I reckon its at least 5 seconds quicker than you went around the same circuit in the JP1! and
mind you... I've had ALOT of practice!
WELL DONE OF THE FOURTH ON YOUR FIRST TIME!
any individual events wins?

Amusingly I was fifth in the Gocarts - the most weight dependant thing, and also the one without the tuition!
I would like to go back and have a crack at the single seaters in the dry with some room.
Ref the JP1 and the single seaters - would love to see the trace! Ours were pretty much irrelevant - they said that they didnt have a wet lap to compare ours with, so it kinda meant nothing at all!
I think my JP1 pace was around 83.5 sec.

cheers bud! I was quite pleased with myself! Wasnt first on any of them, but finished in the top ten with everything bar the Renault Clios, which was the first car I went in, and took a little getting used to!

I take it you haven't seen my new little Cossie powered Westfield have you!
This day is prettu much why I bought the Westy.... the JP1 and Formula Jaguar are obviously the best by a mile for thrills.. but for smile factor? CATERHAMS all the way!
GREAT little circuit for them as well... I will be going under 51secs again no doubt! what did you do?
did you really like the jags? I FOOOKING HATE THEM!!!
REALLY REALLY wind me up!!! GRRRRR!
the gayest traction control in the history of the world!
Its impossible to spin!

I was lapping the Caterhams at around 51.7 odd IIRC. I will check tonight. Sub 51 is mighty impressive. I had never driven a Caterham before that day - always assumed I was too big. Now I am a total convert.

This was THE best day I've ever had... I was given this for my 21st (although the cars were slightly different) and it was amazing, the instructors are very competitive and want to beat the other instructors so as long as you're game, they'll let you go as fast and hard as you like. My highlight of the day was beating some guy from the McLaren F1 Team in the Clio Cups.
You'll both have an amazing time, I'm gonna do another one someday. Awesome.
Cheers,
Grant

Maria was AMAZING... banged out a 50.7 on her first go in a Caterham?!?!?!?
Incredible
I did a 49.2
I wouldn't mind betting she beat you on everything actually! She was SHITHOT. I mean REALLY REALLY REALLY good!
she definately beat your JP1 time. 83.5... slacker! I did a 77 something with no intercom or instruction... I even impressed myself there
Will post pics later when I down/upload them.
Its just the best day out ever. This was my 15th time and was easily the best. Just awesome.

You were physically and mentally FINISHED by that point though babe and that wasn't a representative time for you...
Judging how fast you went on everything else you could have done a low 80sec lap if you were not half dead!

to say i was FUBARD was an understatement.... half way round my instructor said 'youve given up havent you'
you need to be pretty strong to rag those things round, and come the end of the day when we drove them, after the off roading, single seaters, and everything else i just wanted to sleep!
