Its not the cheapest day out... but it IS great great value!
You get to drive these cars SOOOOO hard!!! the instructors REALLY REALLY push you...
I KNOW me and Maria will have at least 10 spins between us!
There is also Karts and loads of other stuff that you do throughout the day!

PROPER day out!
cost is cheap for the sheer amount of driving you get and just how hard you get to push them... you go to the limit and will be almost guarenteed to spin every car!!!!!
Its just over Ł800 for the day. Including breakfats lunch and dinner. I know Maria can't see this at moment and so will edit this soon... as I don't want her seeing the cost as its a pressie as she is doing so well on her course!

and if it sounds alot? its not when you think what a trackday REALLY costs you...
Entry costs
Petrol costs
wear and tear to car (tyres, brakes, engine)
and thats if you DON'T do any damage!!!!
AND you have an instructor with you all day so you learn SOOOOO much!!!
Ł800 is great value really...
SO EXCITED! can't wait to see her flying around!

I was lucky enough to do this very day just last Friday (11th!) It was absolutely awesome on the whole.
My predictions....
The Porsches will bore the shit out of you - they are rubbish.
The Jags will pleasantly surprise you.
The JP1 will give you a whole new appreciation for F1 drivers!
Caterhams were soo good I nearly went out and bought one!
The day was absolutely superb, and even though a little raintouched - overall it was ace!
Instruction was invaluable.
Keep your lap times handy - we can compare! I still have mine

you will STAGGER out of the JP1's.... they are HARDCORE!
The single seaters are MUCH easier than before as they are now 3litre atmo engines with a sequential box..
Previously they were Audi turbos with a dogleg and dog engagement box that took ALOT of learning for begineers....
Its normally between say 6-12 laps per car. but HARD HARD laps....
its an all day thing. The organisation and running of the day is VERY VERY slick and professional!
and you get lovely trophies for winning... although I have kinda run out of room for any more!

This day is prettu much why I bought the Westy.... the JP1 and Formula Jaguar are obviously the best by a mile for thrills.. but for smile factor? CATERHAMS all the way!
GREAT little circuit for them as well... I will be going under 51secs again no doubt! what did you do?
did you really like the jags? I FOOOKING HATE THEM!!!
REALLY REALLY wind me up!!! GRRRRR!
the gayest traction control in the history of the world!
Its impossible to spin!

Didnt know about the Westfield! Very very jealous now on the back of the Palmer day! They were such ace fun - cossie powered one? You must be partially insane!
To be honest, I did enjoy the jags, I guess because I had such very very low expectations. The instructor I had in that particlar car was very very good, and he extracted a lot out of me!
As stated - the tc was a bit of a shame, but the real low point for me was the 996 Porsches - which are just a little long in the tooth - and the poverty spec ones.
Highlight of the day for me was finishing 4th out of 60 and being a fat cunt! (at 20 odd stone!). Many small people were quite surprised!
Biggest shame for me was the single seaters, as the heavens opened big style, and so it was more of a procession.
The JP1 will stay with me for a very long time - again - awesome instructor and as such I went faster than I thought possible!
