The best fail ive ever seen is when i used to share a garage with a friend, he had just put a volvo he had just bought in for test and had asked me to go see if it had been dropped back off at the garage and if it had passed, there wasnt even a fail sheet with it just a hand written note on the passenger seat saying " monty this car is scrap "

Ive had a standard car with orange plastic filters int he lenses fail because "the indicators arent orange enough"

Ive also had an advisory for rear disks on a 1.8 cavalier, I walked back into the test centre and asked what was wrong with them apart from never having been fitted to the car in the first place!

they dont have to be as long as the seatbelt have also been removed.
i was once failed on a rear seatbelt being slighly frayed along the edge. i melted the fibres with a lighter then told them id fitted a new belt

A mate had a lowered mk2 fiesta 1.4 sport, took it for mot. It failed.....

The tester filled in BOTH SIDES of the A4 sheet of failure sheet with the faults and:

THIS VEHICLE IS TOO DANGEROUS TO DRIVE ON THE PUBLIC HIGHWAY written in 1" high red biro......

pug just got a 'prepared for motorsport' advisory, which i thought was quite good considering the tester cut himself on one of the many self tappers and bolts i had left sticking out of the bottom of the floorpans!

EDIT: really bad thing being is.. people actually cruise about in cars like this before the MOT tester spots it once a year!

Examiner telling me my rear lights were pink (clear rear lenses, red bulbs) where I argued they were 'light red'.

The car failed.

my scoobie failed cause jap imports dont have side lights when the ignition key is removed and told me i have to rewire the car to get it through

EVEN THOUGH ITS BEEN IN THE FUCKING COUNTRY 7 YEARS AND DONE A SVA

so took it to a garage who i look after,,,, and he passed it,,,,, the emissons was worrying but he dontated the CO levels of a rover 75 on the other ramp and sorted that issue out pmsl

my advisory reads " needs rear tail lamp bulbs" as he said that he had to add something and the only issue with is it is the emissions

THEN the car was vosa'd 2 weeks later,,,, AND FUCKING PASSED SOMEHOW ???

ment to be .3%...... mine was 3.89,,,,,, and he reved the bollox out of it to get the reading that low

he said the cat may need changing,,,, the cats fine though,,, its hanging up in the warehouse at work ha ha

Quick Reply: whats the funniset advisory/fail you've had on a m.o.t?
