with your cossie already being at 430bhp the R6 wont be as quick on the move but it will be far more fun, especially once you get the hang of stringing a few bends together and roundabout racing with your knee down
nice bike, looks immaculate

no problem..
do you know what tyres it has on it ? They look like Bridgestone BT010 or 020 which is quite an old tyre and the rear one looks like it's squared off abit which will make it feel unstable as you tip the bike into a corner and roll from the flat bit to the rounder profile on the edge. Not sure if you can even buy them any more so they will be a few years old I suspect so it might be worth inversting in a new pair.
I can heartily recommend Michelin Pilot Power 2CTs as that's what I've got on my Mille.

in 2 days last week i saw 2 motorbike crashes. one bloke on the floor in a neck brace next to an ambulance, seemed like he was talking. the next morn a woman pulled out in front of a bike, the bloke was lyin on the windscreen, his legs in the air head (still wearing helmet) on the bonnet, pointing to his hip/back/pocket? a woman who had stopped was pulling his glove off his hand, i wound down window and shouted not to move him till ambulance/police came. didnt stop as there was other people there, must have happened a minute or so before i came. hope he (both) was ok.
i would never get a bike, as much as i would like one, not because i dont trust myself, but because i dont trust other drivers...

Farmer Giles,
not looked yet what tyres are on it,will look in a bit just so i know, and they are a bit square but i'm sure if i get new tyres they will go sqaure too.
will check them out.
Crowder and Andre,
that would not really put me off as i have seen bad car accidents and we all still drive....a bit different on a bike i know but...

you only seen accidents in the replay back on tape though dave,,, having the actual incident happen around you aint the same as watching it pmsl
ive had 2 mates lost on bikes and me cousin but tbh ALL of em was own fault in one way or another
as said just enjoy it and you will be fine,,, you aint the trusting type so i doubt you will start taking risks on bind bends and not worry about junctions ect that some bikers seem to
im gonna start looking for lessons now if its that cheep tbh !

Did you get DAS for Ł299?? If so, thats an amazing price!
edit: just checked and yes it is, well done, about 40% cheaper than anywhere else I've seen!
How many days is this for, and is it for complete starters or do you need some background?

Fair Play Dave.
I passed back in March, got myself a 650 which aint the quickest bike on the road, but quicker and more fun than alot of cars IMO, much more grin per quid factor on a bike too.
Ive lost a couple of friends on bikes, but I have lost friends who were at work but that dont stop me going to work
I still aint got my knee down yet, but I dont feel the need myself as if its a must thing to do at the moment, it will come in its own time.
