what an unlocked version?

i just restored mine and installed 2.0 last week, but cos im on o2 anyway you can use an o2 sim card without jailbreaking which is good!

Yeh, I'm on T-Mobile so was unable to upgrade before today (even thought I did by accident and ended up having to downgrade baseband etcetc)
