Talking to Mark tonight, its about to get underway & im more than a little interested to see the effect of Marks new cam combo , if its as good as Mark suggests they will be going in mine soon after. Me thinks this engine is going to make some big Horses & massive Torque & make mine look rather tame

no cosworth will ever see off a decent bike, even with nitrous etc!
power to weight of bike (inc rider) typical 250gk @160hp
cossie " 1200kg @ 700hp
and the bike is standard

Round a track a sorted car will beat a bike. Was on tv the other day too ( 5th gear? ). Bikes cant brake anywhere near as hard as a car..................

You have no idea what you are talking about - admittedly there are very few cars that can live with a bike's 0-120 time, but there are quite a few that can BEAT a bike from 120-180
.
Given the same distance, an R1 can only do 176mph at Brunters and a mere 500bhp Cossie 180+ - make of that what you will .

a big power car will allways beat a big power bike round a track... (IMO ) even if the bike has brakes as big as its wheels! they aint gonna be much use when youve got about 2 'handprints' worth of tyre on the road!

However bikes do offer an incredible level of straight line performance for very little money! A second hand busa can be bought and modded to do 200mph for less than the price of a decent 4x4 cossie box!
I like bikes and cars
can't trust myself to ride powerful bikes often though even though I have my license. 
Ranj's car will beat a huge amount of Bikes in a straight line though
