Default over braked on the front end, what to do??

basicly, on heavy braking the rear end goes stupidly light and trys to over take the front! im now running 4 pot brembo's on my uno turbo but still have the original discs and calipers on the rear.

is there any way of shifting more of the braking force to the back?

ive thought about a brake bias (in car one) but surely there fitted for when u need to reduce the braking from the rear??

help!

cheers

should have a load proportioning valve nr the back beam
try adjusting this as if the car is lower or carrying more weight this should give more stopping power to the rear
may help had to do this on my 5 gt turbo and helped
cheap and easy remedy hey but worked lol

your right about the bias valve on the rear end, so put it in the front end circuit...it'll reduce the front to compensate for the rears......so presuming your setup is good enough you should be able to set it up right.

cheers for your replys.

my car is stripped out totally and is now pretty light on the rear end, so ive got no weight there over the rear brakes.

also, im running coilovers and theyre set pretty hard so the stiffer springs option is done already.

any more advice?

thanks again so far

sillyfez, would that work fine? where in the front brake system would you fit it? as theres only one line to the rears, yet 2 lines from the master cylinder for the front so which one would u put it in?

get hight poundage front springs
i've changed from 185lbs to 300lbs

setting the fronts to hard setting, isn;t altering the spring rate

you need different springs

Dont reduce the front end braking as that wont increase rears at all !!

Stopping the car nose diving when its shifting weight transfer forward is the answer, and you cant do that by just adjusting the damping Dunc

If the cars light at the rear and your on coilovers you will benefit from getting the corner weights set up , too much weight/rake at the front ( like what you decribe ) will allow the tail to wag the dog .Drop the rear of the car a few mm and try again .
