Not worth the money imo & in some cases can invalidate your insurance by having one fitted/working on the car
Just drive off boost for the last couple of miles of your journey and/or let the car idle for a minute or 2 when you get home - does the same job as a timer & it wont cost you the £££ that can be better spent on something else

ive heard its classed as hot wiring so the police can actually do you for 1 having the car running with no one in it, and 2 for being able to have the car running with a key in the igntion, even though its only for a short period of time
for tehe sake of driving sensibly and ticking over for a minute or 2 its not really worth the money

Yeah its always a good idea to leave your engine running while you're not with your car - as one of the directors at my old place of work found when someone helped themselves to his Mercedes when he did just that

20K+ Super Poster.
It is an offence to leave your car unattended, with the engine running, or incidentally with the headlights on.
The engine running stems from the war when enemies could make immediate use of transport if they found a running vehicle.
Some ecu's have a built in turbo timer you can activate, plod cars have "RUN LOCK" whereby the engine will run constantly but if you try to drive without deactivating run lock it cuts out.

Also, if you have an alarm system fitted, it may not work with it. I don't know if alarm systems will arm their sensors and immobilize immediately after the timer has stopped or you have to do it yourself. Either way, driving off boost for 5 or so minutes before your journey ends or waiting a minute after you have arrived at your destination is good enough.
