I have seen a number of Fords, inc Sierra/Merkur running Ford V8, and a Turbo, and 4wd.

Easy done as some Windsor V8s were 4wd from the factory.

Doing it with some LS powered thing im not so sure about tho, never seen it yet. Guess it depends how low it sits etc.

Just wondering how wide the bottom of the engines would be in comparison to the space to fit a sensible front diff? As a V8 no doubt would want to be pushing 800+ BHP/ and serious torque to make it worthwhile?

Thats a Ford Windsor V8, found in tons of American fords from the 70s to the 90s. Well, 60s too.

Comes mostly in 5litre and 5.8, 5litre most common. But a few other sizes too.

Did someone mention fitting a Lexus V8 ???

Never did hear if it got up and running though....

You'll have to register to read it I think, but it is worth viewing.

An LS would fit in there too....easy enough rwd, much harder 4wd. There is a guy with an orange Escort with an LS motor in it...I met him at Avon a couple of times. Chesham Motors up the side of it ???
