I for one get royally p*ssed off when things don’t arrive when I’m told they will. I ordered some Samcos a long while back from Mike Rainbird and was told they’d take six to eight weeks to come in....
Well I say it was a long while back, but it was about five weeks so am well happy. I spent the whole night sniffing the inside of the hoses... oooh lovely... sorry, is it just me?!
Ta again, v quick considering
PS: I won’t tell you about how I panicked last night thinking they were the wrong ones... I think I’ll have to check them first lol.

If I make it down at the weekend I'll get a scan of the fresh MOT for it - unfortunately I cant put anything else up as Mike aint getting to see/hear nadda LOL

I bet most of that time was taken by AVA trying to get you to part with some money! Bet it only took a couple of months to build!

LOL cheeky bas - in that time I have wrote off a sunny GTiR and buckled a westie - surely that good enough in the inbetween LOL
We have been very confused as to where the project has been going between us - so its just coming back on road with a standard engine with a few bolt ons

No we tried to run before we walked - the car will now be on the road with a whole load of gubbins on to get tested - its got all new G/box, rear beam, diff, suspension, brakes - custom "everything" in engine bay etc so needs run to see what falls off etc
Easiest way to do this was stick a standard engine in to get the rest of the work complete - seems obvious now but for a while we were trying to build monster engines and forgot about the rest which was quite a lot of work in a oner.
Its been V cool seeing it coming together now though
and the westfield and sunny were top top experiences when i had them that kept me sane

The reason for the delay is entirely due to the fact that Martin has not been able to decide on the colour of the new 
pinstripe. It would have been ready 3 years ago had AVA been willing to accept his choice of pink and so they held out applying it in the hope that Martin would change his mind. Being the stubborn Weegie he is, he refused until he realised that he wouldn't get the car back unless a 
gold one was applied .

Missed out on the guessing comp, but my oh my, I have a certain amount of taste (when it comes to the car that is) and pink hoses would certainly clash with my orange neons
.. kinda like the idea of purple though lolBut one question.. how come Daz got his so quickly? Did they just stick some leccy tape round some loo rolls?!

yip engine is stop gap and probably pretty wise to test with too Need some custom parts for other engine that are holding up progress as we need them in low volume but i'm sure we will sort that soon enough.
I love my pinstrip - it means when you hit bits you dont have to paint the whole panel - sorry you folk aint practical
