Default 1/4 mile result, dissapointed or not??

I ran my car today at North Weald Air strip, and I'm not sure what to make of the result.
Now it was the first time I have run the car up the strip and the surface is crappy concrete but I just wanna see what you lot think.
My time was 14.6 @ 95 mph. I'm running DSCI on a dreamscience unit, roughly 255-260 bhp, but standard otherwise.
Good or bad? To be honest I wasnt sure what tp expect, but I was hoping for a slightly better time.

With around 170bhp, I ran a 15.7 in my stripped S2.

Not sure what a Focus ST weighs, Not a 'bad' time though!

It was Volk Fest today, although there was more non VAG cars there, and they run a RWYB pretty much every event.
Crappy surface though, and the staging lines were right on a divid between the concrete slabs that make the runway so you had to hold your car on the handbrake or end up rolling everywhere, loads of peeps having problems staging.
I've got a K&N gen2, downpipe and decat to go on in the next weeks so I shall revisit to better my time.
I reckon with all that on and a decent strip, Santa Pod, I should do a 14 flat if not late 13s hopefully(wishfull thinking).

They dont give reaction times, 0-60ft times, just your ET and terminal.
The car wieghs in at 1370kgs and with 260bhp and FWD now thinkign it aint that bad I reckon.

Ahhhh, perhaps you would remember a large box back Mercedes van flashing you, lol
I deliver in London and had just left the Tower Bridge Hilton and was crossing whatever that bridges name is to join the Victoria Embankment and noticed a naughty looking loud yellow M3, could only be you really. lol

the CTR's with around 230-240bhp are running 14.1-14.5... so would have thought you might be a tad quicker

I don't think that's too bad. The ST isn't light weight by any stretch of the imagination. Would have expected a slightly higher terminal though

Running the standard Continentals that come with the car.
I dont think I would break into the 13s at the same strip, but at Santa Pod which is a far better strip and far more sticky, I reckon I could do it once the other stuff is fitted.
I should be near enough to 280bhp so touch wood.

That's about right. You've got no chance of running a 13 with those tyres on it, especially at the pod.

If you want to do drag racing, then you need to run sticky tyres. "All purpose" or "summer tyres" are not drag racing tyres! The closest thing you will get is the Toyo R888's.

I'm not going to turn it into a 1/4 mile car, but a fast road car is something I always want from my cars, because every single one of my cars see's a touch of track/drag action.
So R888s are not a option as they are totally shite in the wet.
Gotta be a all round package.

your time at pod would probably be slower due to the fact they glue the entyer length of the track so after the better launch that you would get it is slowing you down
