engine/mot question
my car is G (1990) registered, so therefore doesnt have to have a cat test, although it does have to have a basic emissions test done.
IF i fit a 2.0 N/A zetec 16v engine will i have to put a cat on it or can i just run a full decat system?
cheers, Dan.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
It's the age of the oldest, either the car or engine, that determines whether you need a CAT test;
Year 2008 car plus 1988 engine = NO cat test
Year 1988 car plus year 2008 engine = NO cat test.
It's only when the oldest item gets to August 1992 you have to have CAT test.
