a girly girls car to be adorned with lots of pink trim and fluffy toys. not to mention the standard equipment playgirl bunny logo on the boot and carpet mats.

The Racing Puma is a stunning looking car and handles great, but its still got the rep of being a girls car.

Yes, but a mate (lad) has a racing puma. Cool car, a car you buy for your girlfriend so you can drive it.

I think some of you may need to drive one, as Tim says above they are superb handling little cars, I collected my wifes from the dealer and was blown away with the drive home, I owned a sierra and Escort Cos at the time and was still really impressed.

We still sell LOADS of Pumas.

I don't remember a bloke ever buying one in the last couple of years of my goldfish-like memory.

I do however, remember a few blokes pushing their birds into them [so they could enjoy it as well] because they are surprisingly good fun to drive for relatively low powered cars

Then yes!

I've always thought of MGFs to be old people's weekend cars or just exceptionally homosexual [as well as buckets of shit].

So when AlexF told me he'd bought one a few years ago, I was unsurprised.

As he's an old person..

I'm a girly girl and I have one as my daily driver and its smart they are better if you replace the exhaust and manifold with stainless though as the standard manifold is a bit gash, they are revvy little buggers though, thinking of putting some taller gearing in mine so something happens before 3000rpm

I don't see any Cosworths at the chav cruises at my local Asda, we had best get rid of the escos then as I don't want people thinking I'm chavvy.

Cracking little cars, especially FRP (just make sure someone else has already shelled out for front brakes before you get it lol)

It's all down to different people's perceptions and the general opinions of people that are outside of the Ford scene, that's what Andy [RSNissan] was trying to say in his usual uneloquent manner.

Of course you wouldn't find Cosworths chavvy, you own one.

Just like people with bad breath never realise they have bad breath.

ok,so it has the image of being a girly car,

but underneath that image is a proper little sorted car, very under rated and as said above ridiculed by those that have probly never driven one or dont have a clue about a proper driving experience.

blinkers off and have some fun i say, never judge a book by what you heard down the gym in the weights room.

I have to admit, no-one has ever called me girly when I've been driving a Puma.

A bloke did ask me if I was gay once, when I was in an MX5.

But I was kerb crawling for arse and he was cute and cheap, so I let him in.

Funny thing, all Cosworth owners I know or have come across are sorted people with their own homes and good jobs (to be able to afford to buy and run a Cossie) I don't believe I have ever met one that looks like Vicky Pollard or the male equivalent. Or am I missing the point of chaviness? I'd have said kitted up Corsas and Saxo's were chav. Must be short sighted in my bubble then.
