This should be a good race. I cant wait.

The Lemons power is 1160 at the engine and now has a 275 shot of gas. Should see the 200 + no problem.

It will be great to race against such a top fella as Rod.

The Jun Super Lemon RII. All the engine components are made by Jun/Cosworth.

I think the Liner might do it though, as I think it will launch harder and get ahead. No doubt Rod will start to real him in, but as both these cars are the good side on insane, I dont know if the race will long enough to pass him.

At a guess a supra probably has better aero than a R33 meaning a lot at these speeds and maybe less transmission drag although i know the skybus goes rwd, supra can also run slimmer front tyres(dont know to what extent they did this on topspeed runs). Its all conjecture though and on the day a perfect setup will be paramount to either of you winning as high strung tuned engines make hugely different outputs with slight adjustments.

 

The start probably wont be that important - the supra that did the 230mph in the mile did a start that didn't look anything special.

I hope we get some really good vids of all of this

An awesome Spec for your car.
A 1440bhp 4x4 will blow a 1000bhp 2wd into the weeds. That should be a 8sec car no probs .
Ive asked Mick to tell the organisers his true Power as he was picked as a replacement for a Veyron circa 1000bhp.
Think there needs to be a bit of background to this race. I entered FT a few months back mainly to give a Target date to get my car finished, it was entered with 800bhp claimed because I wanted to get some idea of its ‘off’ Nitrous capability for later on in the year.
I then received a phone call from the organisers/Toyo who had been looking at my website & asked if I would be interested in running against a Veyron over a standing mile using Nitrous to make it a close call, as the tv wanted that, I agreed. The Veyron then withdrew & a replacement was required, as it happened a 1100bhp skyline (Micks car) entered & it was seen as a suitable replacement. We are not competitors at this event just spice for the mags/tv.

I will await the Organisers decision, but having been involved from the start I know they require a close battle for the cameras not a mis-match , I cant say why because its not finalised, but involved a well known tv prog.

Dan, yes i'll be going, and I agree its a shame for Rod that people will remember his as the car that lost to the skyline, but at the same time there will be a whole host of supercars he WILL wipe the floor with at the same event fingers crossed.

i would love you to destroy the skybird i really would that would bring a big smile to my face ,in all honesty i dont think you will do it simply because the the skybird will have the help of the 4wd sytem of the line and this is where you will lose your time



its really is hard to beat 4wd of the line the only way you are going to match that if you was to have very very wide wheels on with very sticky tyres to match , if you look at alot of the pure drag cars (RWD) they have all nearly got tubed arches and proper wide wheels with sticky tyres

All that's needed are figures to compare with other well known cars like ferraris, porsche, veryron and the mac F1 since it is still used as a yardstick.

That will make Rod's taxi look like a starship, and the skyline bus, well, that will be a starship on steroids by the looks of things

Is getting off the line that critical for this sort of event though ? Pretty sure that at brunters it doesn't make much difference whether standing start or 40mph round the corner head start

 

we will not be facing any Skyline with more than 1100bhp thats whats been agreed & the organisers have told Mick this, they are confused at his posts on here as he has not said anything about running over 1430bhp to them, this is an exibition run ( yes thats the word we have been told to use). We are not compeditors just demo cars.
In any matched race it will be 1000bhp rwd v 1100bhp 4x4 if Mick disagrees he wont be running, the organisers told me this tonight after Micks comments on here. This is not Totb but may take off in the same way, ive seen the sponsors in the wings waiting to follow Toyo, however it will always be for fully trimmed road cars nowt else, with exibition runs from more extreme cars.

 

Do you know this Mick guy then Rod. He could easily say he is running 1100bhp but in fact be running more? Not saying for 1 second he would but if he is confusing the organisers already, there isnt anything to stop him doing so

Ive spoken to him, seems sound & has at no time has he dissed me or my car. Nowt wrong with him running what Power he wants at any other event, or on his own, but the aim was a closely matched exibition run, not one having a 45% Power advantage .

Thats is very lame attitude indeed Rod, the more hp the better for a demo of a new competition. You wont enter anything unless your car is top dog, you are definately running out of options........

 

what we need is Rods new engine in Andy G's focus!

 

make a block and crank stick 2 heads on and have a 4l v8 twin turbo

The car is FAR more impresive now....I saw it at TOTB last year when it borke into the 9's and did ovver 200 mph.
