Default Rally roof scoop (functional!)- where from?

As title.

When I google search it just comes up with dogshit fake ones etc.

Ideally would like one with closeable vents on the inside.

My car has no blowers fitted to it what so ever, and windows open isnt always a good thing (esp as id like to go plastic windows ASAP so wont be opening anymore), so a roof scoop is probably the wisest plan.

I can get flashy carbon ones, but they 200 notes. Normal fibreglass job is all I need.

Any links welcome

found this one, not sure if it's the look you're after though? would look a bit better painted black or the colour of your car, then some meah or summat added.

Jesus fuck no. Thats horrendous. I want a proper functional one, thats functional in the way cutting my roof off would be, but thats not what I want really.

Want something like this, but not 200quid, ideally...

id pay 500 jus NOT to have that thing on my car

the proper 2 part subaru thing in ur 2nd link looks ok, tho looks like ud have to supply ur own ball vents for the holes on the inside, which could make it more bother than its worth... Hmm

The trouble is all of the nice ones seem to cost a bomb, not sure why they're doesn't seem to be a cheap fibreglass version of the CF ones though?

yeah no doub they'll know, but for now you'll have to make do with my shite suggestions

here's another, scroll down to find the roof vent....looks like it'd work well, then just choose a scoop to suit.

tony conway sells firbeglass versions of the ramsport ones new,ive used them in loads of escort rally cars and they are brilliant, fit two vents in the bottom bit and a small water drain pipe and jobs done, for under Ł100 as well.

Oi garlickmuncher, the carbon one is the one I had, was quite a nice item, including a drain for wateringress.

Most polycarb windows come with sliders so you would be able to open them?

Must admit, I dont like the look of any of the others barring the DW one though.

Its the only carbon bit on my car though, so though it looks cool (ive seen it in the flesh, amazingly well made and looks awesome, bargain at the price), will look a bit out of place, as well as 200quid ive not really got to spend.

But when others are the cost they are and nowhere near as nice, it seems a bit of a bargain regardless.

Does look the nuts though, same here though at present i cant justify spending that but i will once funds are available for a scoop.. hardly need it with this shite weather at moment... it will meerly act as a Ł200 drain pipe..

Go for a standard STI RA kit.. There was a couple on scoobynet for circa Ł150 for the lot, original fitment to STI RA.

like this

BTT I saw few vents from RA Imprezas, but the corners of the flap are round which doesn't looks good imo with 2 vents on the roof. Surely it must be possible to find the ones used on the escos rallycar or ?

the works escort ones leak water Matt, be prepared to bail the car out unless you have a garage. Sure they look good but i would never put sti ones on a escort or sierra, although the sti ones i have had never leaked but do have a warning saying somthin like do not drive over 60kmh with the flap open

Damn, this is getting harder haha. I do not like the "WRC" ones because it looks odd on an old shonky sapphy. Not many other choices left...
