My First Car (Fiesta)
Hiya just joined passion ford its brilliant, just wanted to show everyone my first car its only a small 1.1 mk3 fiesta but it will do for a first car, its in brilliant condition no rust on bodywork what so ever, which is pretty good because most mk3's have got surface rust. I really want peoples opinon on how to make it look better its really a hard decision, thinking of going for the euro look because ive got soo much inspirations from shows, just need some ideas to get me going, i dont want to do a rs rep its been done to often i want something unique i will take critisium and abuse about my car i dont care i will respect your opinon soo let me know what you've got cheeRS, James

20K+ Super Poster.
imho, keep is standard looking and just make it VERY clean. spend a lot of time polishing it up and making the black bits stay black.
clean cars look LOVELY, nomatter what model
also if the insurance doesn't cripple you, look at getting some allots off of anotehr fiesta
all IMHO only

Thats a really good idea actually, sleeper fool many people indeed bought 60mm springs the other week that should make it low haha any idea of how much a rst engine would be to buy and fit CheeRS

It's not buying the engine that you would probably find difficult, it would be insuring it, making it handle ok and having a decent braking system that would cost you more money/time.
Well done on buying your first car, but please be careful!

if u r lookin @ the euro look... think about using the Si body kit... i think it is actually better looking than the RS.
get it off the 1.6 and take the interior aswell... again a really smart look
have fun with it

DON'T "Chav It"..............Stay away from the Max Power Look.
Maybe a quality set of wheels and leave it at that. Just make the best of what's there already. It'll be worth more in the end. Looks in nice condition. Keep it that way.

as your only young and it's your first car don't fook it up with stupid mods like a twin zorst and gash body kits the std euro look would be fine, small fat wheels and low and as jim has said polish it lots for that ultra clean look

2nd that, Dont muck about modding it and making it look like it has driven through Halfords covered in glue. Learn how to service and maintain and let the magic no claims add up. Enjoy some (cheapish) motoring for the next couple of years and then move up the ladder.
m not being funny, please dont take this the wrong way but at the end of the day its a 1.1 fiesta (very clean I must admit) so there is no point throwing wads of cash at it, just keep it looking mint and just get use to driving.
good luck and enjoy

you have started the exact same way i did with a red 1.1 mk3 only mine was a k reg and fucked lol
with mine i just put some coilovers on it, slammed it and ragged it about till i blew it up (4 months) then got a 1.6si. I never saw much point in pumpin money into it

I'd do what you say mate, drop it on some small(ish) wide wheels and keep it subtle. You can always drop a 2.0 zetec in there later on or something.
It's all well and good people saying that he should just leave it alone, but you all know what it's like when your into cars. You get your first one and your keen to mod it, so i say go for it. It doesn't have to be fast to be cool.

i reckon just do what your saying, ive spent stupid amounts on one of my 1st cars, chaved it up, hated the finished product and wondered why i done it pmsl, was much better with standardish looks on nice wheels. the euro wheels above on the vw are awsome, photoshop them on it with the si bumpers sounds nice poss? please dont do things like m3 mirrors though lol
#32
Well im definatly not doing anything to the bodywork yet just concentrating on the wheels first ive bought some 60mm springs that will make it low nd ive bought eurostyle pressed plates for it good so far just need wheels then ill stop modding for abit and see what i can do then, havnt got that much money to waste to be honest. Anyone wanna do me a photoshop ? would be great CheeRS

I would lower it a bit, stick on an rs/xr2i kit with the front bumper swage line smoothed over, maybe a MK5 rear Zs back bumper, some nice rims, FRST interior and a nice back box, small but shweet.
Little bit of colour coding on the mirrors and remove the side strips.
Kits can be cheap to pick up, spraying is a doddle, easily down yourself with a little pratice and some rattle cans - just do a bit of reading up on how to first.
All of the above could be done yourself on a bugdet. No need to max power it or be spening huge sums on mods, just some simple stuff to make it look meatier, then in time sell up and buy something with more grunt.
